Sunshine - Multi Window Shaker Card

Happy Monday Friends! This was one of my class projects from the Whimsy 2018 Craft Retreat. This was a hand-out kit for attendees to take home as my actual class project was a mixed media canvas which I will be sharing here a little later this week :-)

This is a Multi-Window-Shaker Card which I created using the largest die from the  Shaker Maker Rectangle die set and the Wavy Edger Die set. Each window is it's own shaker so to speak. The background was created using different colors of Shimmer Mist sprays. Sentiment is from the Scripted Everyday Sentiments.

The image is an Elisabeth Bell image called Sunshine. I fussy cut her and the little doggy and I then colored them with Copics (see below for list of colors used). The paper I used is a very pretty shimmery, wavy soft green cardstock that was included with an older PaperDoor kit. Unfortunately it is very hard to photograph and does not show in the picture. But that paper is stunning in real life!

Copics used:

Skin: E000,00,11 21 04
Hair: E50, 53, 55, 35
Clothes: RV32, 34, 17, 19, YG13
Doggie: E30, 31, 33, 35, 37

Whimsy products used:

*NEW Wavy Edgers Die Set      Shaker Maker Rectangle Die Set    Copic Sketch Markers Cadmium Red [Pack Of 3] (3PK-R27S)    VersaFine CLAIR Ink Pad - Nocturne (black)Sequin Tin - Mixed Berry*NEW Sunshine

Whimsy Stamps June Release - Day2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Whimsy Stamps June Relase.  I have two cards to share with you again today. My first card features a new rubber stamp by Elisabeth Bell - Tommy and Toby.

I colored again with Tombow Dual Brush pens. This time I used them more like I would use my Copics and not so much as watercolor pens. To blend I used the Tombow blender pen and only at the end I went over it with a damp brush to blend even more. I like the fact that you can blend these water based pens with each other as well as with the blender pen. As for the paper I used a Mixed Media Paper pad from Strathmore. I wanted a really smooth surface (no watercolor pad) for this technique. The mixed media is ideal because it can be used also with watercolors...if it doesn't get too wet. Damp is fine though. The paw die is also from the new release from the Paws to Remember die set.

My second card is CAS style (once again) and I used the NEW Paws to Remember clear set by Deb Davis.

Again I used Tombow Dual Brush markers and this time on hot press watercolor paper to creat this little scene.

I've added some shine to the sky. It's hard to see in the photo but it has such a beautiful soft sparkle to it. I used my Wink of Stella clear brush pen for that. It's just perfect for this little card.

Whimsy is having a Cyber Monday sale, good time to stock up on some yummy rubber!

Here's another Christmas card I want to show to you:

This is Christmas Cookies by Elisabeth Bell. I kept the card rather simple and colored the image with Copics. The DP is from a Whimsy DP pad that is on clearance sale here and will soon be retired. The sentiment is from the 'Christmas Moments' set by SC Design.
