Bunnies in the Garden - Whimsy Stamps March Release

Hi Crafty Friends! Welcome on my blog and to Whimsy Stamps March 2024 release. All the products are now live in the store. Here is a link to all new products from March including this release:
March 2024 products

Here is my release inspiration using the super cute Bunnies in the Garden clear stamp set illustrated by the amazingly talented Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps. There are also matching No-Fuss-Masks available for this set and matching outline dies.

To create my scene I first stamped the images onto a panel of mixed media paper. I also used the No Fuss Masks to overlap some of the images and also to ink the background with Distress Oxide Inks. These masks are such a time saver, no more time-consuming fussy cutting. They fit perfectly and also stay in place while inking.
I water colored the images with Stabilo Pen 68 markers and added depth and some details using Caran D'ache Luminance pencils.
To complete my scene I die cut different elements from the Slimline Scenic Countryside, Build a Fairy Garden, Slimline Meadow and Slimline Fence die sets (links see below) from various colored cardstock.

Enjoy - Have a cool day!

Hi Everyone! Here are two more of my Whimsy creations using products from an earlier release in  January.

On this one I used the super adorable Donkey Love clear stamp set with matching outline dies. I combined it with the Polaroid and Fun with Words 1 dies and the BG is from the 6x6 Chocolate Caramel Coffee paper set. The image was water colored with Stabilo Pen 68 brush markers and the background behind the image was inked with seedless preserves distress ink. A few sequins and crystals finish off my card.

On my second card I combined the fun Polar Bear Birthday clear stamp set again with the Polaroid die. The image was again colored with Stabilo Pen 68 brush markers. In addition I used the elegant Snowflakes Border die  to add some wintery flair to my card. The BG paper is from the Blurry Flurries 6x6 pack. This time I used some confetti sequins from This Calls for Confetti to add finishing touches to my card.

For my Valentine!

Hello crafty friends! I am back here on my blog after a short brake. I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday season and a good start into the new year!
Isn't it crazy that we are half into January already? A new year, also means a new Whimsy release schedule. We are now having a release once a month each month on the 15th. Our very popular Quick Card Fronts will be released on the 1st of each month.

So and without further ado here is my first card inspiration for you using several of the new released products. All new products used for my card are available in the store HERE!

I used an A2 sized top-folded white card base for my new release creation. The BG paper is a sheet of the NEW 6x6 Chocolate Caramel Coffee paper pack. I then used a die from a previous release, called Loopidoos 2, to create another layer before adding my focal point images.
The cupcake is cut out using the NEW Cupcake die set. The super cute Donkey is from Crissy's new clear stamp set NEW Donkey Love
I colored the image using Derwent Chroma Flow pencils (on Strathmore Mixed Media paper).
The sentiment which is included with the clear stamp set was stamped onto white heavy cardstock and cut out using the NEW Quick Stacks 1 die set. I cut the sentiment strips apart after die cutting and layered them on top of each other for a 3D look. Instead of cutting you can also fan fold them. They already have score lines after die cutting. Using a bone folder helps to get crisp edges when folding. I personally prefer the cut and layer technique.
There are also some small heart stamps included in the donkey Love set. I used these to add texture on my background panel and sentiment strip. A few matching pink confetti sequins and crystals from This Calls for Confetti finish off my card.

Hugs & Kisses & Halloween Wishes

Hello Crafty Friends. I can't believe it's this time of the year already where we start with our Halloween creations @ Whimsy Stamps. Yesterday Whimsy released the first batch of its Halloween products. Of course over the next several weeks there will be more and we have sweet and also creepy Halloween products for you! So keep your eyes peeled for more Halloween fun to come!

My first Halloween creation for this season is on the cute side. I used the adorable Halloween Night stamp set illustrated by Crissy Armstrong. My friend Crissy draws the most adorable Halloween images.  I combined it with the New Nested Web die set and New Batty die set. The papers are from the also newly released Bookeh 6x6 paper pack. I made a shaker out of the web die and filled with the polymer clay Halloween Night mix from This Calls For Confetti. Links to all products used can be found below. I colored the cute images with my Stabilo 68 pens and a waterbrush.

Welcome Baby

Hey Crafty Friends! On my card today I am showcasing a super cute stamp set illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and available @ Whimsy Stamps. It's called Critter Babies.

My cardbase is A2 size from kraft cardstock. I applied a watercolor wash on mixed media paper using Kitsch Flamingo Distress Refill Ink. The images were colored using Stabilo Pen 68 Brush Pens. I mounted the images onto glitter cloud which I die cut from white glitter paper using the NEW Ripples Die Set. I wrapped burlap twine around the background layer and adhered the glitter cloud with a cloth pin. To give more stability to the images I also added some foam tape underneath. The sentiment was partly stamped onto the background layer and also white cardstock and cut out using the Simple Sentiment Strips. Sequins and Crystals used to embellish my card can all be found @ This Calls For Confetti.

Florida Love

It's June 1st and that means it is release time at Whimsy Stamps. The new products hit the shelves at midnight. On my project today I am showcasing four of the new products.

It's all about Florida - my home state 💖 Also called The Sunshine State 🌞. We are the southeasternmost state and have the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. This means hundreds of miles of beautiful beaches 🏄 and a subtropical climate. Manatees, Sea Turtles, Alligators, Dolphins, Panthers, Black Bears and many more, all call Florida their home. As well as an abundance of tropical flora.
So on my card today I showcase a few of Florida's landmarks - the manatee, the sea turtle, the hibiscus blossom and tropical foliage. In the background you can see the states shape with the name inlayed.
All created using the newest Whimsy products. Please see below for a product link list.

Cute Little Monster

Happy Weekend! 'Monster Cuties' is the name of this newly released clear stamp set illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and exclusively available in the Whimsy store now.

I started out with a dark teal A2, top-fold card base. I inked the background with Distress Oxide ink Salvaged Patina using the 'Brick Pattern Stencil'. Then I cut out the NEW Weird-O Frame die from white cardstock and the dots from patterned paper (a gelli print scrap I had laying around) and white glitter paper.

I stamped the 'Monster Cuties' onto Strathmore Mixed Media Paper with Versafine Onyx. I colored the images using FC Albrecht Dürer watercolor pencils. The sentiment was stamped onto mixed media paper as well and cut out with the 'Quick Strip' die set' and 'Simple Sentument Strips' die set.

I arranged everything on my card front and adhered it with liquid glue and foam squares/dots. As a finishing touch I added some Stardust Stickles and glazed sequin confetti from This Calls For Confetti in a beautiful teal blue color that matched my card perfectly.
